Lily in His Hands
Who are you? You are the lily in his hands. Those hands that took everything bad of this world from us so that we could be pure white, abiding in the vine & covered in the light of His face.
I had a struggle in painting this piece knowing he was asking, “Do you believe that you are the lily?” I couldn’t at first but looking at this after it was finished I could. Can You? Abide in Him & let Him love you so that you soon will believe.

1st in the series; The Hands & Feet Of Jesus
Easter Sunday 2014, I had this deep longing in me to do an art piece for & of our victorious Jesus. Having the whole day I spent it outside with my sketchpad & pencils wanting to honor what that day represented, why we celebrated. Finally I was inspired & He Holds the Keys began to take form. I just saw myself there after he rose from the grave, not able to look into his glowing face, only able to look down. Yet what could be seen there were his beautiful, nail marked feet. Then he extends his beautiful, nail marked hand holding the Keys of Hades & says, “I brought these for you, they are yours now to be free & with me forever.”

Stars & the Sword

2nd in the series; The Hands & Feet Of Jesus
As I was drawing out the 1st piece of the series, He Holds the Keys, I began to envision another art piece, this one with the 7 stars in his right hand. When I began this piece wanting it portray the strength, the majesty & wonder that the scripture portrays our Jesus. Bright & shining colors, richness in what he adorns & at a stance to draw his mighty sword the moment the Father says, “It’s finally time my son.”

He Walks Amongst the Lamp Stands
The 4th in the series of “Hands & Feet of Jesus.”
Revelation 1:12&15
Before I began this painting {which took 9 months to complete) I had this vision of seeing within the lampstands that there were people as the coals. They were ignited by the touch of His hand bringing forth praise & burning passion for the son of man. Jesus, He walks among them & I saw Him in the river because how the verse says, “His voice was like the mighty rushing waters.” It represents His voice but also the river that flows from the throne. He is fire, He is Water, He is Royalty supreme & I just felt how He wants to be in the midst of His people, in the midst of His worshipers. Holding them in His hands of love & igniting us once again with His fire of sacrifice.

He Reached Pass the Pain
Spring of 2008 I had this vision of Jesus on the cross but it wasn’t like one I’ve ever seen before. He was reaching for me! He wasn’t focused on the most painful way of how he was dying nor, the weight of all sin being placed upon him. He was still focused on me, looking, reaching & that’s why he could go through with it. We were his focal point to know this would cure all & bridge the gap between God & man. I sketched it out to what skill I had at that time but it wasn’t till now in 2015 that I painted it. It was probably one of the most emotional paintings I’ve done by far. Each brush stroke was one of deeper understanding of His sacrifice & what he really went through. Wanting to portray the pain but what brought Him to endure it was us. Even in the midst of being nailed down he kept reaching out to us with all the life in him, he looked past the moment of pain to what it would become; victory.
